Health care quality in decline

Workers in the healthcare sector revealed Tuesday their pessimism about the future of the industry. Their biggest concern is the increasing decline in quality of care.
According to the national survey, 'Working in Healthcare,' nearly half of those working in the field are considering a job outside of care.
Two thirds of the staff members questioned predicted a further decrease in the quality of healthcare, citing overworked employees, lack of funding and unnecessary administration.
The survey analysed 4,144 workers in hospitals, home care, mental health, primary care and physiotherapy. Initiated by health insurance provider, Menzis, the aim was to outline the experiences of care givers and how they view developments in the sector.
