Robben to play World Cup despite injury

Arjen Robben will remain part of the Dutch World Cup squad. Despite a hamstring injury, doctors have given Robben the green light to play in the South African games.
During Sunday's exhibition game against Hungary (6-1), Robben suffered a small tear in his left hamstring, KNVB announced Sunday.
While the injury is less serious than expected, it remains unclear how long Robben will need to recover. It is likely that he will be in good form for the team's World Cup debut against Bayern Munich. In the coming days, Robben will travel to South Africa, to meet the Oranje team who arrived in Johannesburg on Sunday.
Coach Van Marwijk learned of Robben's injury and the report form the Erasmus Hospital in Rotterdam. "I have decided accordingly on calling no substitute for Arjen," he said according to ANP.
The injury comes as an additional setback for Robben who had just recovered from a mild hip injury.
The problems may not affect the attacker, who has been in top form this season. He scored two goals against the Hungarians Saturday prior to his injury.
