The morning rush hour was quieter than normal today, according to the ANWB. They report many Dutch people taking the day free to watch the national team's World Cup start.
Today's traffic jams hit an average of 100 kilometers congestion. An average Monda usually sees a 200 kilometer average.
Across the country, even those who do not support the Oranje team will be following the game. Indeed, many companies have organised screens to show the game in office.
The CSS will also broadcast the match on the internet. The capacity for the game is 120,000 streams, and may affect internet speeds.
